Match rules: Lumberjacks Cup will be played in accordance with all applicable parts of the rules of Floorball Verband Deutschland (FVD).

Referees: The referees are selected and provided by the Organizers of Lumberjacks Cup.

System: The participants will be divided into groups of five where all teams will meet in a round robin series on saturday. The best two teams in each group will advance to the play off while the teams on the third, fourth and fifth place will play off the positions 5-10 in the final table. In order to guarantee every team to play six or seven matches it is not allowed to abandon the tournament ahead of time. Victory gives 3 points, draw 1 point. If two or more teams have the same number of points, the order will be decided as follows

-         Results of matches between teams with equal points

-         Goal difference

-         Highest number of goals scored

-         Lowest amount of penalty minutes

-         By lottery

In the case of draw in play off matches the decision will be made by a penalty shooting. First 3 scorers per team, then 1 scorer alternating until the match is decided.

Playing time: 2x12 min in all matches for the group with 5 teams in the preliminary games on Saturday, 2x15 min on Sunday in the final round and for the final. Interval between the first and second period is 3 minutes. In preliminary games on Saturday time out is not allowed. In play off and finals one time out of 30 seconds per team and game is allowed. In preliminary games time will be measured ineffectively, in the final effectively during the last two minutes.

Walk over: The maximum waiting time is five minutes, after that the default result will be 5:0 for the opponent team. Any team missing two matches due to walk over can be excluded from the tournament.

Match schedule: The match schedule will be published on the internet approximately ten days before the tournament starts. The organizer reserves it’s right to change the schedule. This may concern the classification of the groups as well as the match program. Team leaders will be informed in good time.

Important match details: All players of a team must wear a uniform jersey. All team shirts must be numbered and the numbers must correspond to the numbers on the team list. Numbers must be on the back of the shirts. Two players may not use the same number in any given match.

Warm up: The players will get five minutes for warming up on the floorball ground before a match starts. The organizers will not provide the teams with balls. So all teams have to bring their own balls for warming up.
